YBR patterns corrections ?

A few years back I bought the Yellow Brick Road pattern. I recall (an urban myth?) that the first run of patterns had an error.

Sound familiar to anyone?

How I would I know if I had the "bad" pattern? Does anyone have the correction?

But, but, *did* the first run have an error?? Inquiring minds want to know!

Karen, it wasn't so much that there was an error - the problem was the instructions were VERY poorly written.

No, it really was an error. It had you sewing one pieced section onto another section totally backward. I remember because that was the very first thing I ever made. If you did it the way THEY said, you had to match a seam when you started sewing blocks together.. If you did it correctly, no seams to match which makes it an easy quilt for beginners.

I had to "unsew" a whole bunch of seams. Every block was wrong. That almost did it for me right there.

There really was an error - ask me how I know. It had to do with the number of repetitions for making one of the larger sizes. If needed, I can dig up my solution.
