Thanks Sandy All this talk of random, and scrappy and 'gay abandon' is *so* scary >g<

I ask my daughter, she's always right!

Then I ask my grandson, he loves his Nana. Him I listen to.

Before I had grandchildren, I knew the arrangement was perfect when the cat napped on it.

Polly, I have no idea what to suggest, given the great suggestions already posted...I'm confident your quilt will soon 'talk to you' and let you know exactly what it wants.

Well, Irene, I don't know if I'm getting better or just easier to please. Since I've moved the two heavy-weights apart and added some peaceful blocks, the quilt top seems to be 'pleasing'. Sorry, that word kind of gags me. How about 'gently happy'. Yes. That's better. There's kangaroo, watermelon, ants (of course), pink roses and some batik (just to name a few). Using a little restraint, I rejected the Nascar flags and 30's repros; there are even a few very tasteful touches of gator. I'm grateful for all of the help and wish that everyone's quilts will be this great a pleasure. Polly

Thank you - all of you - for this thread! Even with the little things I've done so far, I've done some tweaking and not really been sure why things looked different.

Also, it seems to make a difference if I look at them in daylight. (Or is it just that I'm more awake?!!)
