2nd Layout of 2006

Here is a layout I made using the paper Dave sent me.

These are the actual photos Roy took while on "Pit" detail.

There is no journalling as I cannot get Roy to talk about the time he spent at Ground Zero. All he says is "you don't want to know."

Great LO Kate. This is the kind of layout that really doesn't need journaling. You're right, the paper is a wonderful tribute.

Wow, very moving Kate - maybe you could find some newspaper articles around the time and keep them in a secret (acid free) pocket - it will mean a lot to future generations to know what it was actually like and I can imaging that it must be something not many people who were involved in it want to talk about...I am the queen of Journaling and believe if there is a will there is a way. Nice tribute Kate. I don't think that journalling is required but you may want to record Roy's feeling on the matter....for posterity. I hope that you both got a little healing from doing this layout ((((hugs))))

Kate, The photos say it all. Like the way you added the frame to the to the lower photo. It speaks for itself. Sandy

That's a really moving LO. The paper from Dave is perfect! I like the frame around Roy, that's a personal touch... I agree with the others, this page does not need journelling, the pictures are enough, although I like Andrea's idea of getting some newspaper clippings and storing them. Thanks for sharing, very tastefully scrapped!! luv Cec..xxx

What a great tribute and a nice LO! I looked at your 9-11 pages too, and I hope that doing them was healing for you and DH. I can only imagine what you went through! I remember that I was mesmerized with all the tv coverage of the tragedy at that time. It was surely something we wont EVER forget!

Thank you for sharing that wonderful tribute Kate, I was very humbled looking at your pages, and reading your story. I remember being glued to the tv set at the time and I just couldn't believe what was happening. I pray that these have helped with the healing process for you and your DH. With love, Cec...xxx
