Album ?

Howdy!

First a quick poll: What is you favorite album and why? What brand do you normally buy?

Second: I am looking for an 12x12 post bound album for our honeymoon trip. If any one has a suggestion let me know. I don't mind paying a little extra for an album in this instance. I usually just get the

12x12 plain Pioneer leather looking albums from Michaels...but would like something a little nicer for the honeymoon album.

Tammy -

I am partial to Creative Memories Albums - although they can be a little pricey. They are post bound, and really nice. They have a really nice Wedding Album too....

My 2 cents.

Tammy, The only albums I own in 12x12 are CM. I got several when a rep was going out of business. All of my family albums are 12x12. The albums sit on a shelf unused for the most part as I do so much back and forth over the years that I don't have an entire album done, except for the family christmas one. My Girl Scout albums are 8.5x11 in three ring binders. I use their 7x7 for the grandchildren - only kept it up because I started with that size for the first three and then needed to keep them the same size as the rest of the grandchildren came/come along. I didn't realize the CM had post bound albums also. I will have to check them out. Thanks for your 2 cents!!

I bounce around alot also Sandy. Most of my yearly albums having spaces for upcoming layouts. That is why I have to use post bound. I would never get my layouts in order in I used strap hinge.

Thanks!

oops - maybe I am confusing post bound and strap hinge! uh oh!

Sorry. I think I made a mistake. I was thinking post as in "after" not the post one binds with.....

Oh well. I tried! :)

I still like the CM albums - and not really familiar with other ones......good luck!

Hi Tammy,

I have seen some really nice albums at Micheals. I don't remember the brand (cause I wasn't in need of an album at the time). I think all my post bound albums are Pioneer. One fancy album that I halped with My Sister in law covered with fabric and ribbon and it really changed the look of the album. Sorry I can't help on brand names though.

I really think that's why my albums are empty and I use highsmith 12x12 storage boxes for my finished LO's. I'm too lazy to mess with the strap hinges. And I don't know how many LO's I'll end up with in an individual album. I bounce around so much I may do middle DD's Kindergarden LO and then switch to her graduation pages and back to baby LO's. Don't know what I'll do when the boxes are full. Wouldn't it be wonderful to find out??? Sandy

Tammy, I dont have a specific brand I like, except that I like the post bound better than strap hinge of any type. I think they are much easier to handle, and they already come with page protectors! I usually get whatever I can find on sale when I have the extra money, although I have seen some beautiful K&Co albums.

Sandy, dont feel alone by not scrapping in order! I tend to bounce around the years too! Especially since I've only been at it 1 1/2 years or so. I have a lot of catching up to do, and I dont always want to work on the same things..Whatever mood strikes me at the time, is what I do!

Wll, My favorite is still strap-hinge CM. As we all say...a little pricey..buat in my opinion, worth it. They hold up best in the long run.

Sandy, I too scrap by inspiration and my solution to this is < I have a big three ring binder that I put my finished LO in until I can incorporate them into the correct album. Works out great.

I use strap hinge CM albums. You can use these albums and bounce around, too. All you have to do is put the page protector on the album page and slide your layout in. It will stay in place without being glued down. Then when you are done with your album you can go back and stick it down.

I'm sort of in the middle, I really like the sturdiness of CM albums but some of the post bound albums are just so beautiful.

My favorite are CM albums. I have tried Colorbok and they were okay.

Here are two websites of albums I would like to try and maybe you would like them for your honeymoon albums.

For my pets I use A4 size hinge type files, but of a good quality. Otherwise I use post bound albums. Not that picky about the brand, usuallyI just buy one if I see it for a good price! :)

I love CM. They are pricey, but I think they are worth it. No, I don't sell CM.

They don't do postbound so I can't help you with your wedding album.
