Album Covers

Hi Everybody :)

I'm still busy with my first album, but I was wondering....do you guys think it's best to make you Album cover first or last? I made mine first, but now halfway through, I'm thinking it might have been a better idea to do it afterwards.... On the other hand if you're making an album like a Christmas album which only gets a new LO each year, you would have no choice but to make the Cover first!

I do title pages but have never decorated the outside of the album unless it was a handmade album. Do you make your own albums or decorate the cover of other albums? Peggy from NJ

The only album I've decorated was my cat's. All I did though was write "A Tribute to Bagheera", his dates (year he was born and date of death). Then I stamped cat paw prints going over the front. Thankfully it's not a fabric covered album, just the spiral kind, so it worked really great. All my other albums just have a title page.

Hi Peggy :) No, I have'nt attempted to make an Album. I'm still busy on my first album. It's a smallish spiral type. I coverd it in paper and made a front page LO and then covered it with Contact. However, I've seen albums at one of our Scrapbook shops covered and decorated with materials like leather, suede, padded material, etc and then in front a type of "box" with a LO in. It looks great - but too "advanced" for me at this stage :)

Oh Dave, it will be ok. I don't do covers, just a title page now and then. :-)
