What do you do?

I am working on 2 albums right now. One for each of my boys. The problem is that I have TONS of pictures from holidays. My goal was to give them a special album on their wedding day...but the more I do the more it seems they will have a lot of albums..hehe. I'm thinking of just making a lot of pages and albums, but when it comes to their wedding day, I would pull out my favorite pages from all the albums and put them into a new album...but that is just an idea.

What do you guys do? Do you have a vacation album that you put all of your vacations in or do you just make 1 page of the trip? What about holidays? Do you guys have an album separate for holidays? Should I make each boy their own holiday and vacation albums or put them in a family album? Should I make them a page from each holiday, vacation etc, but use the rest for a family one? ...UGH...can you see my problem?

Any ideas would be great! By the way, my oldest is almost 3, and my baby is 13 months..lol Shan

Hi Sharon!

I haven't progressed very far in my albums but I can tell you what I will do when I get the pages scrapped:) I have a yearly album which features the whole family including holidays. I also have a Christmas album where I will scrap our Christmases. We have only gone on small vacations so I will eventually have an album for them, too. But I take enough pictures so there is always enough to go around for all my albums. If not, I can print more. Hope this helps

I decided to make Chronological Family albums and this includes Holidays and Vacations. If we went on a vacation where I have tons of pictures then I can still make a smaller album for just that vacation. I also have an album for each of my kids and you are right they will have more than one by the time I am done.

I'm not organized enough to figure this out but I once met a lady that was working on an album and it had all of the pages planned for her daughter life. It was an album where every year she just had to go through and add the pictures. On two page spread was dedicated to each of her annual portraits. She had a space for the wallet size of each year. You can probably come up with something like this that you can start working on now and by the time they graduate highschool you can give it to them. Then you can keep the 50 kids albums you have for them until they are married.

I think your idea of giving them albums of special pages is a great idea.
