Become Eligible Now for the RCS February Contest

Just so you can start working on it now, in February 2005 I'll be sponsoring a contest on RCS through my company, Not Just Scrapbooks, LLC of Arkansas. I'm doing it through the company so that I can write off the cost from inventory. The prize will be worth over $50 and will include a beautiful K & Company 12x12 album kit and a Bazzill pack to match.

To be eligible to enter, a person will have to:

  1. Have posted something more than a one liner to RCS on a regular basis during the months of December and January. (by Regular I mean at least two posts every week starting now. If you are new to the group, or have never introduced yourself before, please let us know a little about you in your next post. We love meeting new people. Don't be afraid to ask questions or to start a new thread!)

  1. Have shared at least 3 "new "LOs with the group. For those of you who are on webtv and/or have problems posting LO's just send me a good picture or scan or even your 3 LOs and I will do whatever is needed to get your LO's posted. I will open a special RCS Webshot/Picturetrail account to post your LOs with each of you having your own album. All LO's posted in December and January will count. Post of recipe swap pages (including Lynne's recently completed Soup and Stews pages), challenge pages etc will count towards your

3 page requirement.

The details of the contest layouts will be posted in January 2005.

I am arranging for judges who are not a part of RCS. Pages will be completely anonymous to the judges. I will set the layouts up on a special webpage/website with no names only numbers.

Depending on outcome and participation levels, the contest will be repeated during the year.

Hi M-C!

This sounds really exciting! Are you automatically entered if you post your LO's in December and January ( and comply with the other specs) or do you have to indicate that you want to enter the contest and which LO's you want to submit?

Can we post layouts to this group, or do we have to upload them some where else?

Sounds exciting M-C. I guess my recipe page puts me in :-)

Hi Linda, I'm afraid that you will have to upload them to something like webshots or picturetrails. Hope that isn't a problem. If it is, please email me and I'll see how I can help!

Your recipe page is 1 of 3 LO's required. Let me know if there is any way that I can help get stuff posted! Hugs, M-C

Not a problem at all. All my layouts are posted on my family web site. I finished 5 new pages yesterday that I am uploading. I will send a link as soon as I finish uploading.

Sounds like fun M-C. I guess I'll have to get busy and do some layouts. I haven't done any pages for my scrapbooks for a couple of months. I have been too busy making cards and Christmas gifts! :-)

I dure hope we will all have fun!!! And you have a couple of months to make them. I know all of us crafty people have been pulled in a whole lot of different crafting directions trying to get ready for the holidays, which is why I thought I'd let everyone know way in advance! How's work, Cathy?

Busy, busy, busy! The girls who personalize the gifts and ornaments are working their little fingers off! The rest of us keep wrapping gifts and stocking shelves.

I bet you just can't stand all the fun. But it's good to know that the store you work at is doing so well at least there is a good chance that it will keep on supporting your addiction, err...habit... no I meant hobby!

True. The store has been around for a long time. It started out with the personalized gifts and rubber stamps and has progressed into scrapbooking. I keep drooling over all the cool things that come into the store. It's a wonder I have any money left after payday!
