Altered clipboard in progress

I'm half done... but I'm not happy with how the back is turning out - it looks a bit scrappy and like it needs something to tie it all together, but I'm not sure what -

I like the front much better.

I'm going to put a pair of pockets on the front to hold notes... I don't have any paints so I inked the front of the clipboard with my stamp pad before I started. Hopefully it won't bleed once it's had a few coats of glue over it. The large pictures are recycled greeting cards, and the butterflies are from a wallpaper border I got at the Dollar Tree. It's a very pretty border actually and I wouldn't mind having it on the wall in the craftroom!

You're doing great on it, Karen. I really like the inked front. Using greeting card fronts was a great idea! Is this a gift you're working on, or something for the fun of it?

It looks really nice so far! I also cut apart my greeting cards...I realized that I could be using them in my scrappies about a year ago. They usually end up in the garbage anyway. I've even been known to ask for old cards from friends and family, too!
