The aim of this was to make swap items using things from the hardware store.

Those are nice Karen. Interesting idea for a swap. Thanks for sharing.

I used some of the paint chips w/ a hole to make atcs this last time. I loved how Klara had a window in hers and wanted to try the look. I'll probably use them again too.

The scrapbook swap group I belong to had a challenge to make a swap item out of stuff from the hardware store. I didn't sign up for it but they needed an angel at the last minute, so I said I'd give it a go, and this is what I came up with:

Because it was a last-minute thing I didn't go to the store for supplies, I had to use what I could find around the house - lots of blue and yellow paint chips left over from choosing the paint colours for our apartment, butterflies cut from a wallpaper border, common string, and some paperclips just to finish it off...

Oh, I did post this before... I was so tired at the time that I thought I dreamt it! Apols...

Interesting idea for a swap. You did a great job! You sure you did this at the last minute? :-) I haven't used paint chips, but keep meaning to.

Yep... I sure did. I saw the email asking for help at nine pm and by ten it was confirmed that I was doing it. So I dug in my drawers and I was finished them all by midnight. :) The most difficult part was choosing which paint chips to pair up for the best combinations :P
