Catching up on projects

My "Wakey Wakey Eggs and Bacey Recipe Swap" is in the mail now and I got something off to my NSSSF that I made and forgot to include in last month's box. Totally forgot to scan my recipe, but I suppose Michelle will need to do it for the RCS web page and I shouldn't put out a sneak peek any ways. The gift I made for Dave though is in my Other Crafts album. I was making things out of polymer clay, using rubber stamps and then some embossing. Yes, I was playing that night and made some fun things.

Also check out my "Inspire" card in the same album. I tried using embossing to make some squares look like the metal rimmed tags. Yeah, they don't really look like the tags, but I like the look I came up with.

OOoooooo....I like the polymer clays! I haven't used polymer clay, but it's on my list of stuffin's to try one day. Dave is really going to like those. Your Inspire card is wonderful! It's so colorful, and the silver embossed squares really do look nice.

That card was fun to make and picking out the colors was half the fun.

My mom bought me a manual pasta maker for using with clay. I've had it for a couple years and this recent "sort out" I had with the house remodel fiasco helped me organize my craft supplies. Soooo I put the pasta maker in a box with the clay for easy access. My friend and I couldn't believe the ease of mixing the clay and then the ease of getting perfect strips for our rubber stamps. We had so much fun.

Hi Linda,

Buy 3 squares of clay next time you're at the craft store. The directions are right on the little package. It is so easy. Shape, Bake, And you're done. If you have rubber stamps getting a design is even easier.

Susie Zoo is so cute. The card is pretty simple to make and the stickers really make it stand out.

I've heard before how a pasta maker is practically an essential for doing great things with polymer clay.
