Childhood family pics

So, I finally finished my book of pics from my childhood.

There aren't many. My immediate family didn't own a camera when I was little, so we only had pics if friends or other family members took them, or if we went to get them done in a studio that one time. So, some of the ones I found were really good, but some of them kind of sucked, like the photographer, whoever it was, was standing too far away. So, I cropped some of them and resized, which means the quality of the printouts isn't always great, but I think the slight fuzziness is kind of artsy looking actually, so I don't mind.

Oh! And, my parents kind of sucked at storing photos too, so some of them also were bent and scratched, or in old albums that apparently weren't acid free so they had faded. I fixed what I could in Photoshop.

Oh, and another thing! I took photos of the pages with my digital camera, and my camera does not know how to make colors not all weird. It's so strange, how too different blue things can look almost the same color irl, but then on my computer they're vastly different shades of blue. Again, I did the best to fix the colors and contrast and such in Photoshop, but these images aren't really "true to life" you know?

So enough of my blathering, here it is:

Oh, my design philosophy on this book was "as many colors and patterns as I want, screw matching, have fun." Though once I got into it, I found some things not-matched in a more pleasing way than others, to me anyway, though for the life of me I couldn't tell you why.

I like your pages Luna. They are colorful and fun and I think the papers go together really well. I like the little touches of glitter too. Thanks for sharing.

I like your layouts. I think the photograph on page 3 is pretty. I also love the papers you chose. I think they fit perfectly to your pictures and the subject.

Luna I love your LO's! I really like that you used those papers. (I too have that stack!) Perhaps you could attach something to the back of each page listing who the persons in the photos are, full names and if you know where the photos were taken. I know you know who they are but in a generation or two will someone else? It's very frustrating trying to figure out just who is that?! I suggest putting on the back because I wouldn't want to put that on those LO's, (if they were mine) it would detract from them. Just my 2 cents.

I went back and looked. Sorry I missed it the first time. I'm glad you did that.
