Christmas cards uploaded

I uploaded the Christmas cards I have done so far up to our flickr page.

I also made 16 cards using a 12 x 12 OSW template. The template is designed to be used with patterned paper instead of stamping all over like you usually do with OSW. I used a sheet of SU's Designer Series Paper from the 2006 Holiday mini. The paper is double sided so it gives lots more options, which was really cool. I've uploaded them to flickr, too. They can be found here:

I'm thinking I may do it again with a different sheet. Now that I've done one set, the second set will go faster, I think. LOL

Wow, Deb! These cards are gorgeous! I love the details and how different they all are. I can tell you put a lot of effort into them. Whoever gets them is very lucky!

Just lovely! You've got a great artistic eye. I really enjoy the 12X12 OSW template too. It sure is a great way to get 12 great looking cards done fast. And you're right you'll zip through the next set. What I do is keep the first set on hand to look at each card and then the second set goes together quickly.

I saw the card your daughter did and thought "hmmm did Deb just go crazy or..." scroll scroll scroll... read that your daughter helped. I just loved to let my kids make things for their teachers too. Not sure what the teachers thought, but my kids were just so proud that they had made the items themselves.

Being sick did have it's good points. It gave me an excuse to relax and make cards. Maybe I need to be sick more often! LOL

Thanks Crystal. I like making different Christmas cards, keeps it from becoming boring or anything. However, sometimes when I like a design, I'll do it several times. That usually means my creative streak took a vacation. LOL

I haven't started my second set yet. I need to if I'm going to do them since I have the CT surgery in two weeks! I had sample sheet to go with the first time, so that helped. I also made up kits after all the pieces were cut. I put them in large cello bags then stuck a post-it note on there with what card it was (A1, A2, etc). Having the 'kits' as I called them really helped move the assembly process right along!

LOL DD wanted to make a card and picked out one of my 'kits'. She wanted me to do the stamping, but she did the coloring. Not exactly how I would have colored it in, but I'm very proud of what she did.

Really nice cards Deb! Dont you just love that OSW cardmaking idea? It sure does get a lot of cards made at once. I wish I had access to Stampin' Up stuff ..your cards are all so pretty! I dont have a demonstrator here. >pout< Congrats on making a dent in your holiday cards! :-)

Thanks MC! I started on the 2nd set this afternoon. Gotta get some more done before my surgery because I'm having a real hard time trying to figure out just how the heck to cut pieces using my paper cutter one handed. LOL

I'm really liking the OSWs now. I guess I hadn't realize how quickly you can put numerous cards together with them. Slow learning curve maybe? LOL I have to admit, I think I would be lost without my SU stuff.

Believe me you won't be one handed. Just think of your wrist being in a brace, but your fingers move and you are supposed to move them, right away as a matter of fact!
