Move you arm, not your wrist. Let the knife and guide guide you not your mind and wrist.

I bought a tag colluzzle and used it this week. Ronni had some tips that I think helped. Along with Roberts "move you arm" use Ronni's "spin the blade in your fingers as you go around a corner." Do is slowly and turn the blade with the corner or curve. I also noticed with myself I would occasionally lift the blade and it would come and cut the template. So, when I concentrated on making sure the blade stayed down and no lifting of any kind I did a good job. So, the 3 suggestions above really helped me cut out 24 tags.

Hi Anji I had a horrid time at first - then discovered I was using a craft knife. But then I got the "Colluzzle original cutting system knife" - that's what it says on the packet. The difference was amazing -- and then cutting was a snap. I had been ready to give up on the template idea ;o) Also, did you use a swidgy piece of foam between the template and the cutting board? Have fun! Kindest regards, Diana

Those are great tips I forget that you need to have the right tools too. The swivel blade and the foamy mat.

If you blade is still in the template turning the knife handle isn't going to do anything. The blade swivels 360 degrees. Your only turning the knife handle and no the blade. Any other movement besides your are is just going to increase the chances of nicking the template.
