DH's Valentine Card

Hi Everyone

I'm not much of a card maker, but decided to make DH a Valentine's Card this year. It's at:

I dry embossed hearts in the corners of the card, but it does not show up on the scan. Also chalked the edges of the card to give it some definition. Let me know what you think! :))

Oh that turned out beautiful. He's going to love it. No pun intended. teehee

I think it's just beautiful Judy, you've done a fantastic job. I love the letters with the ribbon ties thru the eyelets.... very nice!! TFS :o)

Thanks for looking Cec! :) I hope things have settled down and going a bit easier your side.

Very pretty. Did you emboss with one of those corner cutter/embossers? Sandy

Lovely card Judy.

You did a mighty fine job of that Judy! He is sure to love the card!

Thanks Judy, Things are not so hot here still, but all I can do is "tread water" so-to-speak and keep doing the best I can in a difficult situation. Unfortunately DFS has regressed in his behaviour and is a real handful. I'm lucky that my DH and my family are so supportive and helpful. One good thing is that my sister (DFS' mum) and I are on speaking terms again, and actually communicating better than we have in a long time (perhaps ever). It makes it a lot easier when I don't have to feel like I'm playing her and the department off one another... I was in a really tight situation for a while there. At least that side of things has improved. Now just to focus my attention on rebuilding this little man in a positive way :o) (you probably weren't expecting such a drawn out reply.... LOL, sorry, I do tend to talk somewhat)

Thank you Sandy :) No, I've got a few plastic stencils with shapes on them. I just adhered one to my light box with masking tape and positioned the cardstock over it ;)

Thank you M-C. I hope so!

Quite allright Cec :) Everyone needs to talk sometimes, and I do find to put things into words, tends to give me perspective and a clearer view of the road ahead, but in a situation like this, one has to guard your words with family and that's why a support group like this is so great. I've always got an ear if you would like to talk! Tim has probably just picked up on some of the tention of the last week or two and that is why is acting up a bit. As soon as things get settled, I'm sure he will be fine again. Good luck and know that I am thinking of you and praying for the best outcome.

Thanks.... btw, I like your new sign-in :o) luv Cec...xxx

Beautiful ,Judy!! I am making one for my old Fred and after all of these years it is hard to come up with a clever/funny way of 'fessing my love for a truly brave hero. Hey, anyone who can stand me for so long is either heroic or stone deaf! LOL

Hugs, Sabrina

Do you mean the "capescrapper" bit? That's when I'm on Google and not OE. My newsgroup server seems to be on the blink again! *sigh*

Judy, SA

Oh Sabrina! You're like a tonic, do you know that?! I think it's wonderful that you still make him Valentine's Cards and I bet he treasures all of them :) Thanks for looking :)
