Dorney Park & Crayola Factory Pictures Uploaded.

Hi all,

The vacation was supposed to be UNSTRESSFUL. When it took us 4 hours just to get to P.A. (an hour and half trip usually) we should have bought a clue.

Our little ol' car broke down. It needed a starter, fan belt, and new battery. At least God sent a guardian angel in the form of Nick who works for an auto body store (like Pet Boys)who drove us to the store, helped order the parts and then drove us to our hotel. Then picked us up the next day and then installed the parts. Thank god it is only a V-3 and power nothing.

Then I got sun poisoning last night. Darn it I put sun block on religiously and i still got burned. Arrg. Oh well.

I did have a wonderful time and being with Larry did some good for my soul. I've missed the one on one time we used to have. Living with his folks is taking a toll.

Here's the link. Enjoy:

Even with car problems, you guys look like you had a wonderful time. I'm with you! I'll stay on the ground while everyone else plays on the roller coasters. LOL

Wow looks like you two had a great time! Its nice to get away for one on one time isnt it!? I'm with you, by the way, on waiting while everyone else rides the ride! I USED to be one of the adventurous ones. NO more! LOL Really nice pictures!

It's nice to hear you and your hubby had some time to yourself. You'll have to schedule a weekend here and there to recharge your marriage batteries.

I'm with you too on the staying off the rides. I had to because of a neck injury years ago and what I realized was I didn't really enjoy going on those rides. I did it because everyone else did and I didn't want to be a party pooper. Now I have a great excuse "remember my neck". I really love sitting and waiting and people watching. I have a good time. Although this year my friend has a baby and I had to babysit rather than watch my kids, but what the heck. My friend LOVES the rides and goes with my kids and my kids think of it as a tradition to ride rides with Catherine.

I live about an hour and a half from Dorney and the Crayola factory! Do you anywhere near Washington Crossing Pa?

No, I live in Glendale Queens (near the LIE & BQE). We usually take the Manhattan Bridge through NYC to the Holland Tunnel straight through NJ.

Kate it looks like you really enjoyed your vacation in spite of the car trouble. Like you I'm the one taking pictures and waiting at the exit when they get off the roller coasters! Can't wait to see the pages you create with your pictures.
