Enabling alert...recipe pages

(Doing this real quick before I go get kiddos from school...I'll catch up with posts later.)

I know how much most of us here love to do recipe pages, and, well, I found something today...at Wal Mart none the less! The Wal Mart I went to today had a line up called "Cookbookin'". There was embellishments, papers, recipe cards, and albums...all coordinating and everything. I was actually pretty impressed since it seems kind of difficult to find recipe type stuff.

3D stickers, charms, other embellishments. A few page kits or small album kits, if I remember right. One of the albums that I really liked was red and white checkered, reminded me of the original Betty Crocker cookbook that my mom has. It's a 3 ring binder, about 1 inch thick, holds 8 1/2 x 11 pages, and comes with a stand so you can stand it up. It's a hard cover, too, not flexible. I really like this album! I'm going to have to get me 3 or 4 of them for our family cookbook that I want to redo. (It was simply done on a word processor 16 years ago.) I was pretty impressed with the whole line. Really cute stuff!

Ok, done my enableing duty for the day. Off to pick up kids!

I plan on it. Just one of the many projects I want to do, but can't seem to find the time to do anything. LOL

I think that's the same stuff I saw at WalMart, but with albums, too.

I saw that stuff at a Walmart up in the NE last trip out. I bought a FEW embellishments to use on the next pages I do and was really good about anything else. I was in awe how nice the stuff looked and what there was.

However Robert had to mention about making a cookbook, so now I am enabled to do that. Humm something to take maybe to april's next week to work on? (maybe easier to get that stuff all together than a TON of pix!)

I'm definately going to have to find a reason to go to Wal Mart and pick up a few of the things. They had the Fastenator for $19.96, which I resisted. Very hard to do that, too! But Kenda informed me last night that this Sunday's paper should have a 40% off coupon for HL. Kenda has both the big one, and the small one...the flass!
