Hi Tabitha, Another way to install fonts is to open your "Fonts" directory in your control panel. (Start Menu, Control Panel, Fonts) Click "file" then click "Install new Font" When I download fonts, I usually save them to my desktop in a directory I too named "Fonts". Once I click "Install New Font" I simply grab it from the directory I created on my desktop.

I know that you already found your solution - this is just another one in case you ever need it!

Tabitha - I believe it was Keller that said not to install fonts to the fonts folder - something about them slowly down your PC because on boot up ALL your fonts load - He suggested placing a folder on the desktop and when you want to use a Font double click it to open the font and then open up MS Word and they will appear in the Font box

Tabitha, make a new folder and call it fonts, store it in your doc folder, and put your new ones in there. Too many fonts in windows (tho we talking LOTs lol) causing slow and nasty comps. When u want to use a font... just OPEN the font THEN the prog (such as word etc) And the font will be in the font list then. HTH

ewwwww, I did not know that. So what if you already downloaded all of these extra fonts into your fonts folder....how do you get them out to transfer to a new folder? Do you have to uninstall them...or can you drag them to the new folder ( or c/c/p)/

You can copy them to another folder then delete the file in the Windows\Fonts folder. You may have to use the copy command in the Edit menu. In WinXP there's no copy command in the right click menu. You may be able to drag and drop them to another folder too.
