Here it is the last day of May and I am FINALLY back online! I have sure missed the chatter from everyone in the group, and I feel like I have been gone forever! I will try to catch up on reading all of the posts, but I may not respond to all of them. Three weeks is a long time and a lot of messages to catch up on! I took my sick, overworked and broken down computer to my sisters house in Peoria, and her computer-whiz friend got me a newer, bigger hard drive and new power supply installed, and he backed up all my programs, and favorites list, and pictures, and reloaded Windows for me, and Mozilla Firefox, and he really did a great job of getting me back online. He had to do it all in his spare time, and there was a delay in shipping the hard drive, so it took awhile longer than he anticipated. I am so grateful to be in contact with the outside world again..LOL
May CCC-- I have completed six cards. I challenged myself to 10 a month, but six is good I guess, with everything that has been going on here! I will get them posted tonigh, just in time!! I will eventually get around to checking out everyones pictures they have submitted.
Cakes--I have really been in the land of never-ending cakes at work lately, AND at home! May is my busiest season, with Mothers Day, three weeks of Graduations county-wide, and weddings. The last two weeks that I worked I put in 100 hours because we were so busy. I had wedding cakes to do at home on the last three weekends, on top of all those hours. I have other orders for home the next two weekends too, and then my step daughter is getting married in Georgia on June 14, and i am doing her cake too! I will be on vacation after that! I will be SO ready for some time off let me tell ya!
Kids-- My boys are doing well. My oldest DS moved out, and I think he misses being home. :-) But he is still working hard, and still doing the volunteer firefighting. He is waiting to hear from the Plumbing and Steamfitters Union for notice of his acceptance.He wants to be a welder He has really worked hard to get into this, and is very anxious. Youngest DS is really getting big for his britches! haha! 12 going on 16...geez..He is doing well in baseball, and his social life is something else..lol Girls, girls, girls..I have my work cut out for me!! He made high honors and will be in 7th grade next year at the middle school. Hubby is still enjoying his job at the auto body shop, working on classic muscle cars! I think he will be glad to see my cake-hell-weeks over with...haha! Well, i had better get to catching up. Its nice to be back!
