You can always make a journaling square that slides out from under a picture. It was a very popular thing to do on scrapbook pages about 2 years ago.

You can always put the journaling under one of pictures. Hinges have been popular for doing this or you can do little pull tabs.

This is a LO that I did with pull tabs:

The little buttons attached to a piece of paper on the side of the pictures are the hidden journaling. I do not have any hinges layouts yet. Twopeas will have some though if you do a search of the gallery. HTH!

I've made flaps out of paper before. Kind of like the hinge idea, but using only paper. You can just fold a piece of cardstock and adhere one side. Then it will open like a card with picture on top, and do journaling inside, or vice-versa. lori shay louisville

You can also get page flippers (by Paper Adventures I believe), and adhere them to the top, bottom or sides of your page and mimic the part of your layout it covers on the top and have your journalling on the flipped up side.
