Hi.

I use a contraption for sewing supplies that have tons of little compartments. I also use one for tackle lures.

Then with a little help from my two nieces we separate the fibers and make balls with them and put them in the sections. Makes life easier.

I wrapped my shorter pieces of fibers on embrodery bobbins and store them in a organizer from the tool department at Walmart. The skiens of fiber I store in a bin. If you want me to take a picture of my organizer let me know.

Good luck!

I wrap a couple of yards of each one on pieces of cardboard about the same size as the ones you buy Adornaments Fibers on. Then I hook them all together with a big ring and hang it from a hook above my table. When I go to a crop I just grab the ring. The rest of the skeins go in a tote in the closet out of the way. When I run out of a color or type I just refill. Sandy

ooooh that's a great idea. I have those for embroidery floss. Why it didn't occur to me to use it for scrapping fiber I don't know. This list is great... well I should say the people on the list ARE great!

I cut strips of lightweight cardboard and wrapped each different one around them. Then I have them all in baggies sorted by color. All of these are in one big baggie. It works for me. I only have small amounts,

3 yds or less, of each anyway. All of my fibers came from swaps. Great way to get a huge variety. Speaking of which, anybody interested in another fiber swap? I could get something organized.

Well now that I can see a way of organizing them so that I might actually think to use them, a fiber swap would be great! Just one question though should we wait for the eyelet swap to be over or do it at the same time?

Hi TracyI just wrap mine around those little cardboard bobbins that are used for embroidery floss & put them all in a large freezer bag. That way they are all visable.

hee hee!

TRYING to ORGANIZE? I thnk someone has a few loose FIBERS somewhere!!!

I have mine stuffed in a drawer in little plastic bags that i bought at Hobby Lobby (all different sizes). Whatever size bag they fit in, well you get tae idea.

The ONLY thing I try and keep organized now is my PAPER!!!

(sorry Tracy - just could not resist the temptation!!) (ducking from all the boots, sandals and flying FIBERS!)

nada for 05 (unless redoing and adding to some pages counts!)

Well you know Dave, like Jessie has been saying, if you would build us all one or two of your storage cabinets the rest of us could get organized too!

*ouch!* Where did that darn boot come from...

Organize? Who said anything about organized? If that's a new requirement then I might as well quit now. :-) So far, all my fibers have come on a card and in a ziploc-type bag. So for storing, they just get tossed in one of my large plastic containers sitting on the floor. Oh it's good that I don't have any crawling kiddos around! LOL

M-C, I didn't know there was an eyelet swap going on. In any case, it wouldn't be the first time that we had more than one swap going at a time.

I don't think it's "official" yet. I think we've had a volunteer for hostess, but nothing fully announced with all the details. Keep watching! I'm sure it'll happen.
