I keep everything!

Sometimes it pays off. I finished up a layout I was doing last night but because I was tired and irritable it just wasn't going right. Well this morning, in new light, the page finished off in a flash so I started the next layout. I went to a genealogy event and kept the fliers, receipt, and description of the events. So I got a neat idea. What if I scan the receipt that tells of the events along with another scan of the descriptions then use the descriptions as the background for the second page? I only want to do a 2 page LO since I didn't take a lot of pictures. I also have a copy of my name tag that hung around the neck so I'll scan that too.

I honesty keep everything because I never know what I will use when I start scrapping or even for genealogy. Everyone know I do this so they keep momentos of events we attended together for me. This even helps for those events where me, the picture taker, doesn't attend. I almost cried when I went through my files and found pics of an event that DH had attended and I hadn't. I would have forgotten the event ever took place but thanks to those pics I have a nice memory for him. Oh and another person said he had the tickets and menus of the event as he knew I kept everything. It really does pay to get the word out just in case you forget to pick up a momento that would work really well in your LOs!

I do too and use them on pages or scan and print a copy to use.
