When creating my children's chronological "baby" books, it is not unusual for me to end up with an odd blank page. This is caused because sometimes I want a two-paged layout, but the previous chronological event didn't have enough pictures to warrant another page.
What do I do??? I use my children's artwork as a page! I take a school drawing/picture made by my child around that same period of time and use it as a page. For example, my daughters first self portrait.
Somehow, I must have tossed a lot of my DD artwork during a move. When I went looking for a page filler, I didn't have anything suitable for the desired time period. The only thing I found was a laminated poem/calendar placemat with paint hand prints. I would have LOVED to kept the original hand prints, but it was too big. It was too big to scan at home. So I took it to work and reduced the size using the copy machine. I left it black & white, the poem and hand prints were cute. It captured her initial signature attempts, and had a date. It worked just fine.
