I'm back from hot (but not humid) NM!

Whew....what a fast vacation! We are back from hot and dry New Mexico. That dry air felt good! LOL And for once, I didn't have to go to the ER!

We had a great visit with my family. Our two kiddos had lots of fun with their 3 yr old cousin, who is a cutie, by the way. :-) I got lots of pics, too, so now I'll have even more pictures to scrap. (But when you're behind to begin with, that could be a bad thing.) We even got to see a small cattle drive, while on our way back from a picnic. All 3 kids thought that was the greatest thing, and DH took pictures while leaning out the sun roof. LOL

Mom & Dad loved their album. They both cried, and I don't remember ever seeing my Dad cry. They didn't read all the cards and letters while we were there, but Mom plans on taking this week and reading everything in peace and quiet. Plus, that way she "can cry in peace and quiet". :-) I'll start posting the pics as soon as I can.

Oh! I found an LSS in Abilene, TX! :-) Actually, DH found it. I had jokingly hinted about finding an LSS along the way, and he found one in Abilene while we were driving down the interstate. It was worth the stop; very well organized, not too hard to find. I spent over $100. *big grin* But they had some things I don't remember seeing here in Little Rock. MC, what do you need for a review?

I've browsed through the posts because there's so many. If I've missed anything, please let me know. The new layouts look great, and Kenda, I hope I can see that new album in person soon. Alicia, I'm glad your Dad came through the surgery just fine. Kate, sounds like a date night to me! :-) We had our mail put on hold, but it sounds like I should get my Rainbow swap tomorrow...wooohooo!!! I can't wait to see it!

It's great to be back home, now. I missed my RCS friends!

WELCOME Back there Sassy and so GLAD you and dh and all had a SAFE trip!! I know what you mean about the muggy weather though. However I think that the 110 plus temps the been having out there are as bad as our 90 plus humidity here is!!!

I am especially so HAPPY for you that your parents were pleasantly SHOCKED to the point of no words and tears over that really special present that I had the opportunity to see in person. I just have to ask, did they ASK YOU about the pictures LOL!!!

Finally, boy do you have SOME people fooled about being GOOD - LOL!!!

(oh oh, really sensing a bad feeling of impending PAIN!)

Glad you had a great time and made it back safely. Being behind is okay. If you were caught-up you would have nothing to look forward to and no need to keep buying so many supplies for the boxes of pics yet to scrap. Sandy

We missed you too, Deb! It is hot here in Ky as well. Ours has humidity unfortunately which has given us heat adviseries all this week. :-( We are supposed to get thunderstorms tomorrow. should cool it a bit.

I've missed you! Glad to have you back! How could your parents not get chocked up over the album, it was not only beautiful, but filled with love and recognition not only from their friends but also from their wonderful daughter! I honestly felt priviledged to have seen it.

Hope to see you in a couple of days. I've got to come down your way on Thursday, so maybe we can have a chat!

I'd rather have the 100+ temps without humidity rather than the 90 temps with 20% humidity. :P~~~ I told ya...I'm a desert rat! LOL

Actually, I gave Mom her pictures before the album. It was either give her the pictures, or drop the album because it was starting to slip. Her first response was "My pictures?!" LOL It was funny. I told her they just showed up in my mailbox one day. But my sis did confess that she was the one who got them for me.

I'm always good! See my halo??? *hiding the dents in the halo*

Thanks Kenda. My next major family project is for one of these days, to do

3 heritage albums. Mom has a bunch of old family photos, and I told her I want copies one day to do 3 heritage albums...one for myself and my siblings. Mom also has a bunch of family stories to go with the photos which is even better. So now I'm starting to collect vintage/heritage looking scrapping supplies!

They're talking about heat adviseries here, too. I think I'm actually going to have to water the lawn and shrubs! I can't believe how hot and dry it is this summer.

Awww...*blushes* Thanks MC. They're just really special people, not just to me, either. They've done so much, without thinking about any rewards. It's just who they are, and that makes them so special.

Thursday should be good. I've got to spend today catching up on laundry. It's amazing how much dirty clothes we brought back. LOL
