Cotton pickin' enablers in here!! I thought we were supposed to SUPPORT each other - BUT NO we only ENCOURAGE each other!!!

I know April will not ask in here, so I WILL. She needs a quilling pattern or example for a frog. She thought she saw one here in a lss when we had the meet last month. I saw that Hobby Lobby had a TON of new stuff, to include they are now carrying Sizzix stuff and had ALL those kool new sizzlet sets.

So after getting my paycheck today for the o/t I had last week, I went to find this quilled frog for her. NO, I DID NOT find a cotton pickin quilled frog, only things that I thought I needed. (grumbling to slef)

At hobby lobby I got some really great looking quiled Christmas things and some really neat looking plastic eyelets. They have a washer like thing on the back. You make your hole like for a eyelet, put the eyelet part in the hole and snap on this flat washer piece, It looks neat, and requires no pounding (need to pound after buying these!) So I had to have all 8 colors they have.

Next I went to a lss. No cotton pickin' quilled forg there either. Only MORE stuff that I needed, some paper (OF COURSE - what are ya'll thinkin?!) She had some new things called "tag types" from EK Success. They are small round metal tags with a paper insert and are self slicking. To go with them there area TON of different colored 'tiles' of numbers and letters that you get to put on these tags. (GRRRR) of course I had to have several colors.

She also had some new 12x12 [lastic divider things for paper from Cropper Hopper and I got some different colored transparency paper to try some printing on. THEN the proprieter TRIED to talk me into some Quikcutz. NOT!! I already have a bunch on order thanks again to APRIL and Ronni!!

So, because of April, I did not find any cotton pickin quilled frogs, maybe someone else has some, a pattern or whatever - JACQUI? AND most of all, I hope that I now have encouraged, err, ENABLED some of ya'll in here to go find some new things for your stash!!! pffeewww!!! (sticking tongue out and raspberrying you!)

Sounds like I need to go look for April's quilled frog. My LSS is having a

2 yr anniversary sale. 22% off entire purchase....

It does sound like you found some really cool new scrapbooking items. Congrats!

that second site has some really cute stuff.

Oh my.. sounds like you got a lot of great stuff :)

We do support each other. But our kind of "support" is to make sure we keep each other's habits going. :-) We have our own support group...FLASS Unanimous!

But it does sound like you got some neat stuff to play with now! And think of all the good you were doing trying to find the right frog for April.

Actually as a scrapbooker, I take my share of keeping the local economy rolling seriously. Of course I define local as any LOCAL Scrapbook Store no matter what city or state it's in!

I am also convinced that the recession would have lasted a whole lot longer and been a whole lot deeper were it not for all the good people in this group and their flassy friends and the hoard of scrapbooking supplies we purchase.

So it would be silly to want to cure something that is so important to the economy! Think of all the loggers, manufacturers, packers, shippers, account receivable clerks, postal workers, UPS guys, tax people, and retail employees that would lose their jobs if not for our addiffliction! Yes it is an addiffliction, but ain't it a great one that benefits not only our friends and families but hundreds of people that we have never and will likely never meet.

I think the government should give all scrapbookers a new paid holiday!

HEre, here, MC for President!!!!

I second that motion -- hang on shouldnt you be in Australia MC - MC FOR PRIME MINISTER

-- you guys picked me up today thanks ((((hugs)))) miss you all will be finished in about two weeks Shaz

I'm all for a paid holiday for us scrappers!! Payment in new supplies would be awesome, too. :-)
