Have you guys started making some of the cards? I was over at Kenda's on Wednesday and started made the first 5 sets, though I decided that some needed to be more 3D. Has anyone figured out what the ribbon and metal plate are for? I must have missed that!

I get the QVC insider and it's in there. They are calling it a scrapbook fair:

4am - Preserving the Past - Scrapbooking (2 hours) 6 am - Anna Griffin Elegant Paper Crafting 12 pm - Anna Griffin again 1pm - Preserving the past 8-pm - Paper Crafting with Brenda Walton 9 pm - Creating Keepsakes - Scrapbooking (2 hours)

They also have a new card set that they are showing as being the special value and that I can pre-by until Sept 13th, but unfortunately it is not available online so I can't share. It has 40 handmade cards that are new designs, each with 3-d embelishments, (18 birthday, 6 blank, 2 wedding, 1 sympathy, 2 get well, 2 baby, 2 congrats, 2 anniversary and 5 small TK U) 1 Organizer box, a 10-yer Calendar/recorder, and a hidden compartment. You have a choice of green floral (kind of a yellow-green background, green leaves, pink flowers) or Blue toille. The QVC price is $30, but for those that get the insider it is being sold for $24.89 right now as a pre-order with shipping in September. Hopefully that will also be the today special price!

I must say that I was surprised at how cute the cards were M-C! I was very skeptical and was pleasantly surprised! Makes me wish I'd bought the boxed set as you ladies did.....

I think the ribbon and the plate are for the brag book (the small scrapbook). If you look at the pictures from the set I think they show it. HTH!

I haven't had a chance yet to make the cards. I can't wait to start on them though. Can you add the pop dot to items to make them look more

3D?

My sis and dad bought me the card set too, and it is so cute! I was pleasantly surprised with it! I worked on some of them the other night. I do agree with you M-C about some of them needing to be a little more

Oh,Oh! Excited is a dangerous thing to be where it concerns QVC! Excited or on meds, LOL! I've got to dig out that picture of all the boxes that were waiting for me when I came home in January! Thank goodness Rick was happy to see my after a week! LOL

My pleasure, I'm sure, LOL! QVC has some great buys, providing that a person can stop themselves from buying everything they see. Truth is that after buying my card set last time, I changed the channel and stopped watching otherwise, my poor platic card would have been even more full!

hahaha and BTW When I said earlier that QVC said there wasn't going to be another craft day I wasn't doubting you M-C I just figured QVC saw all the dollars rolling in and figured they were losing out on a great market by only having one craft day for the rest of the year. So decided to have another.

I wish I could make my mind up sooner ... things sell out before I get them bought. I mull too long. Although last time I was at a disavantage regarding something that sold out as I was being tortured by my husband getting that splinter out of my foot. haha. Then he said afterward he wasn't even sure he got it! Fortunately he did after a few sore days it healed and I feel great. Can stand around my craft table for hours again. :D

Oh, I never thought that you didn't believe me, LOL! I just wanted everyone to know what the programing for the day is. I'm with you, they just realized that there was more money to be made and they didn;t really lie since it isn't crafts all day!
