Thank you Carolyne. He refused to stay in the hospital and carried on his life as if he were healthy...going to his lodge meetings and died at home...where he wanted to be. He did have a lot of pain but had Hospice care at home. He still drove himself to his lodge. Very determined ,gentle soul.

Thank you Linda. I am having difficulty with my health and feel that I am not doing my usual part. I will not be attending the funeral today but was at the visitation yesterday. Very exhausted and Fred does not want me to overdo and end up in the bed. (Course I never end up in bed...I do the couch thing so I will always be where I can see everything )

Thank you Marie. We are comforted by the knowledge that he is no longer in pain. Last stage cancer can be very painful. We have taken a great deal of comfort from everyone's thoughts and prayers.

Thanks M-C. We have always tried to keep our sense of humor in all things so I got a laugh out of Fred's comment on a beautiful flower arrangement. He said Wow Who sent this one? and my sil said You did,silly! He promptly replied,I didn't know I was so rich. Course I always take care of those things and he has no idea what stuff costs :-) We have a really lovely florist that I always use and they do such good arrangements. Everyone got a good laugh from Fred.
