My shopping spree today!!

Ok, I just know you all will completely hearing about this. LOL DH took the kids and hit an estate sale, looking for Transformers. So I got to go shopping for my NSSSF, and did some shopping for myself, too. You'll have to wait for Selena to get her package before you find out what I got her. :-P So everything listed in this post if for me.

I went to Garden Ridge first, for my very first time! What an awesome store. Mental note, if I ever need silk flowers, just go there first. LOL I picked up a pretty photo box, along with a package of cross stickers for Mom & Dad's album.

Then I headed to Michaels. As I said in an above post, I wanted two of the Slab Occasions, but they were out. But that didn't stop me from shopping! LOL I found a package of 25 sheet protectors...much needed right now. I also found 2 books of vellum "Quote Stacks", one scriptures, one sentiments. I picked up some more brads, in pastels, both medium and mini. And I bought my first Sizzix dies!!!! I picked up the paw print (green) and butterfly #3 (yellow).

Then I headed to an LSS. *big grin* When I pulled in the parking lot, DH called to tell me they were done and hungry. So they met me at the LSS...while I was shopping. :-) (Hey, I had time to kill!) I found some metal alphabet brads, and some metal alphabet dog tag charms. They had these new things, "photo sleeves". It's a package of 6 self-adhesive transparent photo sleeves, with words printed on the sleeves. The set I picked up is 'summer splash' theme. All the words are of a summer theme, "splish splash", "bathing beauty", etc. The LSS said these were brand new, so I'm looking forward to using them. I also found a package of father/son embellishments. I also picked up a package of "Bazzill Chips". The package I got is 1.25" circles. They look like pressed cardboard? They're acid & lignin free, so they're safe, and they look interesting. The sign said you can stamp on them, cover with cardboard, paint, etc. Another play toy! LOL

But the absolute best thing I bought today was a Crop n Style XXL. The LSS had one. I've been thinking of buying some kind of rolling tote to take with me, but just haven't done it. Well, of course, DH was with me at the LSS and saw the XXL first. He showed it to me, and of course, I drooled. This thing is huge! LOL I told DH we didn't have to get it now, and he asked if I wanted it. Well, of course I did! So we bought it. I am one happy scrapper now!

Wow! That was one major spree! It's was killing me earlier when Shop At Home network had their scrapbooking afternoon and had Xyron and Sizzix stuff along with a bunch of stuff I'd never seen before. I'm still waiting for the frames and embellishments I ordered from QVC and need to wait a while before getting anything else. Sounds like you really hit the jackpot though.

*nod nod nod nod* Yep, for me it was a huge major spree. LOL I don't do much scrapbook shopping. (I know, I'm such a slacker.) I keep telling myself I need to use what I have. But, I also tend to be the one who says there's other things more important to the family than my scrapbooking addiction.

*bows* Oh, I did have a ball! Had even more fun when DH suggested the XXL. :-) But, I did forget to say that I did buy 3 sheets of paper. Have you seen the Bazill chips?

Only online. They say that you have to cut your cardstock to go on top of the shapes. Is that how it actually works?

Oh Deb, that sounds like a wonderful day with a perfect ending :) I've put myself on a budget, starting this month! I got a fright when I saw what I have spend since October!

Tell me about it! I keep all receipts for my taxes - not that I can take off anything, but it is a habit to save all of them. I didn't add them up, but just a quick rounding off was scary...... that's why I set a goal for my spending this year. I matched my DH's satellite tv bill monthly, then threw a class at the LSS in whenever he orders his cigars. I figured we should keep our habits fairly equal. Sandy

Wow, you had a great shopping day!! I haven't shopped for scrapping stuff in a long time, but I still have quite the stash here to use...found a new LSS recently, so I guess I= -------------------(cat typed that!) I'll have to pay them a visit! Enjoy your new XXL, I love mine when it is time to go cropping outside of my home! Arleen

It looks like it. I thought they could be interesting to play with. I may never buy them again, but they'll be interesting to play with. LOL

No problem! I love getting others to shop. :-) I had lots of fun yesterday and I think I'll be at least satisfied for a bit. LOL

Well, if it hadn't been for our tax refund, I wouldn't have done all that shopping for me. LOL It came just in time. I also wouldn't have let DH buy me the XXL. I do know my limits...at times.

DH and I try to keep our habits equal since they both can get expensive. Transformers doesn't sound expensive, but you have to realize that DH is a serious collector. What's that saying about the difference between men & boys is the price of their toys? LOL But, DH wouldn't be as much without the toys.

I had an awesome shopping day! A new LSS? Oh, you definately have to go visit them. At least to check out what they have, how it's organized, etc. I'm looking forward to taking my XXL out into the world. Right now, it's empty and waiting to be filled...or is that "fed"? LOL

Yes I did! Now it's back to 'work' today...grocery shopping, laundry, etc. Plus, DD starts Taekwondo today. So much to do, so little time!
