paper and thought it would be just perfect. But now back at home it somehow doens't seem to fit my needs. Can somebody tell me in which order I should put in the family members or has somebody allready used this paper successfully?

I will do this layout for my boyfriends dad's album. So I think the parents of his wife aren't an option. I have pictures of him, his wife, his first wife (I don't know if I should include her on this layout at all), his parents, the parents of his mother, his children (3), and his grandson. So some of the frames will certainly stay empty. His daugther is the only one of his children who is already married, so maybe I could also inculde his son in law. Of the parents of his father I have only the names yet.

Now, can somebody help me please? I can't find an order that seems right. It drives me nuts.

Thanks,

Susanne

When I look at the paper, I see a geneology layout. The question of whether or not to include the first wife depends on the purpose of the layout, and possibly whether or not they had any children together. If the children came from her, and you're purpose is to show the future generations they're relatives, then include her. But, if they didn't have children, then maybe not. There's a couple more experienced geneology people here, and they might have a better solution.

As for the order, I suggest putting your boyfriend's dad at the bottom, his parents up and to the left, and grandparents up and to the left of the parents. You could mirror that on the other side (parents to grandparents) for dad's wife. Hope that makes sense!

That's really pretty paper by the way!!

It looks to me like the paper might be better suited for use in a wedding scrapbook. One side would be used for the bride, the 2 circles right next to it would be used for each of her parents and the 2 circles next to those two circles would hold a picture of each set of grandparents. The mirror image would be for the groom's side.

Perhaps you could do a paper piecing of a tree with him on the trunk, his wife (or wives if the first wife was the mother of one or more of his children) and let his children be represented by acorns/apples/whatever and the grandchild by a small acorn. Since it never hurts to put as much info as practically possible into it, how about placing the picture of his wifes parents behind her picture so you can just lift up her picture to see their picture? You could also hinge each of his childrens pictures and behind them place a picture of their spouses and children as the family is added to.

He had two children with his first with and another one with his second wife. So maybe I should include her .

grandparents)

This doens't sound to bad. I will have to find out, if we have pictures of his wifes parents and granparents. Thanks for your help Deb.

That would make sense. Unfortunatly it's not for a wedding scrapbook. But I will inculde some wedding pictures. Maybe I could use this paper in the wedding section of the album...

That sounds good too! I like the idea of hiding the spouses and children.

Thanks for your help, Susanne
