Need help with an idea Please

I haven't been around much things have been hetic. DH has been sick and in and out of the hospital. He has a cold but it takes longer to heal and you have to make sure he is okay and it is defintatly a cold due to his transplant. Then Monday I went to work to find out that they are closing the department that I work in for good due to cost efficent reasons. I have decided not to seek employment within another dept. within the same company because I think soon those jobs will be eliminated also. I put in an application last week at the hospital on Tuesday and I heard from them Thursday. I tried calling Friday but the lady wasn't in. I hope to get into the hospital.

Any how, I need help with a card idea please. My younger sister is graduating from elementary school this June (5th grade). I want to make her a card. Its not called a graduation its called "moving up". I was thinking of card with a girl goig up a ladder with books in her hand, but not sure where to get a diecut of stairs or a girl with books. What other ideas do you all have. Your such a creative group. Appreciate the help.

How about a penny rolling card. You could make some steps that look like pencils, books or rulers. Then do a zig zag strip and attatch a picture of her on a penny. this way the penny can either climb the steps or roll down them. Kids love these kinds of cards! Karissa

Ooh! That sounds neat. Do you have an example of one I can see? I think my grandchildren would love that and I'm starting the birthday rounds again this year. About one every month. Sandy

"Moving on up" makes me think of that sitcom called the Jefferson's. They had a song about moving on up to an apartment in the sky... I quote very loosely... any how your ladder idea sounds very nice. She could float up on a cloud. Or climb a ladder through a cloud. I can see a little girl figure bracing herself on a cloud with school books scattered around as she's floating up to the bigger school. Just ideas to help spur on your imagination.
