New find of the day

I went up to Williamsburg this morning to hit the cross stitch store for a gift. (MILs son is getting married next weekend - 22nd) I start walking into the shopping area and found this new little shop had hanks of yarn. I've hit the mother lode! I may take knitting back up at this rate! LOL According to the owner of the XS store, the yarn place is new.

I got to touch these beautiful fibers of all shapes, sizes, colors and so on. Eyelash, Frizzle (or something like that), sheer yarns, wools, and so on. I bought the one cute piece out of the clearance bin (25% off) as it was one of the cheaper priced hanks. (this yarn shop wasn't cheap... some stuff was as much as $20!) What I did get is a wool with fuzzy nubs like... reminds me of kids' fleece wear they make today. (hats and jackets) It made me think of a winter layout. :D It's purple, blue, green and red. Such a cool find. As was so many of the other fibers. I'm just so excited to have this shop up the road. Guess my trips to the XS store, I'll have to save a $20 for yarn. LOL

I completely forgot about the "tag" with info LOL It's got a website on it that won't come up, adriafil.com... wouldn't come up on my IE but I went back to the AOL and it popped up no problem. Go figure! LOL I can't find the particular yarn I got but it shows some of what they have. I think I have it....

ACK!!! I was in Williamsburg all morning on Sunday!! And I did not see a yarn store....WHERE?!?!?!??! On Pocahantas Trail? Near the school? Oh, please, do tell Susan!!

I am an avid crocheter and want to learn to knit - just so I can use the punta and eyelash yarns that are out - they are so beautiful!

I'm glad you got something you like and I hope you have fun with it.

I had to look up Haus Tirol's address... now that I can find it, I forget street names LOL

It is on Pochahontas Trail. Actually the knitting store is just across the walk from the Cheese and Wine shop. Faces into the parking lot kind of like the Cheese/Wine place does. I wanted some fresh bread this morning but passed. :( Maybe I'll come to the southside again and we could meet up. Panera is a good bread place too!

Sheri, I guess not LOL I've been to the candle factory and the outlets and the actual Williamsburg stores in CW, but I think I've missed out on the pottery. Which reminds me... I need to email my friend about polish pottery... she's going to Poland this weekend! :) Susan
