New technique used tonight

I am not sure exactly what your sanding block is, but I assume it is a bit like an emery board for filing your nails, but covered in a really fine sandpaper???? Well that is what it is here and it can be lots of fun, try crunching up your paper then flattening it out again and sanding gently over it, it will bring out the creases and is great for altering paper. Another thing we use it for here is deco scrapping - basically using decopage on letters for titles - can be very effective, I will put up a LO soon with a title done that way, it can be great fun.

yes definately, but use the softer of the two sides and make sure the glue or adhesive is properly dry or it might tear the paper.

Rach....I use the white blocks that you use for filing acrylic nails for that and distressing paper. They are finer than the sanding blocks :o) HTH

Rach...I got mine from the beauty supply store but perhaps you may get them in the pharmacy. I think I had four in a pack and I am still using the first one....so they last. Here is a link so you know what to look for

Oh I love to sand! It's just so fun and I enjoy the look. I need to get to work on my cards too. I bought a deck of cards at Dollar Tree and I'm going to use them as my foundation so I won't have to measure and cut too much. Haven't checked the dimensions yet though. Hope they're the right size.

I also got the sanding block with my TLC order, but have no idea how to use it or how the result should look. I would love to give it a try tho. Does anyone have LO's on display using the sanding technique? Would love to have a peak :) Thanks a bunch!

How I ended up sanding was with the card board flower that came in the kit. I was using the sanding piece to sand off the nubs from detaching it from the frame and slipped on the flower edge and thought hey I might as well keep going. I sanded hit and miss on the edges and then here and there until I liked it. I'll see if I can get a good picture of the detail.
