New LO Posted

Hi Everyone!

It felt great to change the number of LO's for 2005 to 17 in my signature a few moments ago! It's been almost 4 months since I've scrapped!

Way back in the begining of this year when I participated in the Skinny Minnie Swap, Jacqui, gracious hostess that she was, sent me a TLC Scrapping Kit along with my recipes. Thanks again Jacqui! I started a LO with this kit in April allready, but months pasted befor I finally completed it.

It's at:

formatting link
or if that link does not work, in my Miscelaneous Album in my webshots Account - the last upload. This LO is totally different from my usual style. The combination of colours in the kit, and the sketch along with that, made me think outside of my usual framework, making it quite a challenge, but still a lot of fun!

I would love to hear any comments! Enjoy :)

Very cuteC!! You have some good pictures of the kitties. I have found the TLC kits help me think out side of my normal layouts.

I love what you did with it, Judy! Runtie and Mina look so cute and comfortable. The life of a cat....LOL Did you use all of the kit or do you still have pieces left? It seems whenever I use a kit, I always have pieces left and never know what to do with them. However, after making the cards with Kenda a couple weeks ago, I like the idea of making a card from any scraps after using a kit for a LO or two.

Thanks for looking Tammy. Yes, I agree, it does make you think a bit "outside of the box". :)

Hi Deb!

You know, I did have two tags left over!! As my DH always says when he have a few pieces left over after putting together a piece of furniture

- "spares" - LOL. There was a sketch included with the kit, which I followed to the T, so I don't know where they should have come, but I'm sure I'll find a good use for them anyway :) I added ribbon and made the four paw embelishments extra tho, so I guess it cancels out!

I'm definitely going to try and making cards of the leftover materials after making a LO. I think it's a great idea. Thanks for taking the time to have a look!

Cute LO. They look so comfy..... I like kits for a change of pace...they actually give me new ideas for other LO's and styles. TLC kits always seems to have leftovers which are great for cards ar the beginnings of new LO's. Sandy

That is just adorable. I love TLC kits. They got me to do sanding which is something I never would have thought to try.

Thanks Cathy! I can't take credit for the layering tho - Jacqui send me a sketch to go along with the kit, which I followed to the T. It was really fun and I learned a lot!
