Of the new die cutting machines

I've been looking at the new die cutting machines and Larry wants to get me one for my birthday (next week).

Of the new machines which one can you attach to your computer to cut out the clip art on your computer and can work independently from your computer.

Is there such a machine or am I fantasizing?

I think there was a thread where there was discussion that one had a usb port for future use by the company.

Also which one has the cutting mat that is frustrating to use at first? Lately I have little patience for stupidity. LOL

Thanks in advance.

The Wishblade is the one that you can attach to your computer and use any true type font that you have or download. I have a friend who has a Wishblade and she love it.

Pazzles is another machine that you can use with your computer.

The Circut has a usb port, but no computer support yet. They may develop this in the future.

I've never heard of the pazzles. Looks like it's about the same price as the wishblade. Does anyone have one of these with comments?

I also bought the Silhouette. Again I will suggest that you check and see if your LSS has a QuicKutz Club. If they do and you join, they usually give you

30% off all QK products, including the Silhouette. I honestly think that the fee is well worth it especially if you are planning on buying any one of the QK tolls or the Silhouette.

The Silhouette is in fact a Craft Robo and you can get free downloads of shapes etc. I'd give you links, but haven;t had a chance to put one together yet. I need to go a hunting for those. I know there was a UK club with lots of free stuff, but I can't remember the name.

If the Silhouette is the Craft Robo re-branded then I think the forum you are after is UKscrappers.

That group is great! There is a Wishblade yahoo group--wishblade is just like CraftRobo, which is just like Silhouette. Some groups I have been to are: UK Scrappers

If anyone is considering the Cricut, they might want to wait. I hear that a new one will be released in June. It will cut up to a 12 x 24" paper!! I am looking at that one.

They also had one on QVC this week that will draw the shapes as well as cut them. I haven't looked at it, but it was quite the topic of conversation on another group that I belong to.

I saw that Cricut on QVC too. It was pretty neat..it drew out a shape, and then you switched out the marker, and replaced it with the cutting thing, and send it back through and OUILA`!... a die cut with an outline to it! I have been looking at the Cricut to see what all the talk is really about and I had never seen it in action...., but I just cant justify spending that kind of money unless I do more scrapbooking than I do now..and right now...I just dont have time!! It is pretty cool tho!!
