OT Baby shower help

Help I am in a crafting slump! Our sunshine committe at work is having a combined baby shower for 5 co-worker having babies. Any ideas on something quick to make for them by Friday? Thanks in advanced, Lin

fill up a paint can with baby items, and decorate the outside as if it were a page!

My thoughts were similar. I have used baskets, etc to fill up with baby powder, lotion, soap, shampoo, tiny nail clippers, hair brushes. Things that are just everyday accessories in small bottles. I have also used the small bags and stuffed them with that crinkled paper strips.

You could make diaper cakes with baby items on it.

For my friend that is pregnant, I did something similar with a basket, and wraped it in colored saran wrap, but I sort of got her into scraping so I made her the first page to her baby book, all she has to do is add pics. She was getting into it with her first pregnancy, but has had two miscarriages. She is finally in the third trimester and definately out of the woods. They said that if something were to happen that they would be able to take the baby and she and the baby would more than likely be fine. Soooo we actually get to have this baby shower. She is thinking that her kid is spoiled and not even born yet, because I told her that she had to have a boy so I could off load all my boy stuff on her. Which I have already. This girl is just gonna need the big stuff. She is sooooo ecstatic about the whole thing. She is almost 40 and this is her first child. She loves kids, but was not gonna have one til she got married. That finally happened, and she is now having a baby. Can you tell I am sooooo happy for her. Hope all goes well with your friend Lin

I like the idea of a paint can or basket filled with all kinds of baby items. You would be surprised how many times parents-to-be (even if it's not their 1st child) forget just how much stuff you need for a baby! (I say this from experience....LOL) So a can or basket filled with goodies would be lovely, and very appreciated.

Or....you could work up a layout for each of them. Even if they don't scrap, they could always frame it.

Aaaah Mel! That is just wonderful! I'm so happy for your friend. Know exactly how you feel. My DS is also in her 40's and dearly wanted a baby, but could not have one. She's fostering at the moment and is really "blooming" she's so happy.

I saw this cute basket on Paper Crafts awhile ago for the Mom to Be and thought it was adorable. Check it out.
