OT: Christmas Crafting

Dec 09, 2008 9 Replies

Anyone doing any Christmas Crafting? I'm making another Advent calendar. Yes, it's December, but I just wasn't in the mood to make one in November. Fortunately, it's for a friend with a 4 year old and she'll never know the difference in getting it in December or not. I'm almost done. Forgot how much work it was the first time I made one for my kids.

I'll be sure to take a picture of this one when I'm done. Lynne

i painted some statues and i made a wooden key holder..i also made some pillows from the grandkids to their mom..

The children at the daycare and I have been making a different ornament each day for the tree. Does that count?

What a great Grandma you are. My kids loved getting pillows.

I am going to make a few things for christmas again this. I think I'm going to make stamped candles and post it note holders. Not really sure and no I haven't started them yet. LOL! I will be making a majority of the items this year so I should get busy.

No Christmas crafting for me. Cards are it. Everyone in my family is getting gift cards as they are the easiest things to transport on a plane. lol Not very creative but I didn't feel like paying baggage fees.

southwest- luggage is FREE continental- 2 carry ons- FREE

I was just on Southwest. Their checked luggage limit is 2 - 50 pound suitcases per person. Not one 52 pound suitcase for 2 people. Here I thought I was saving them some work. We had to remove my daughter's tennis shoes and a pair of jeans to get it under 50 or they were going to charge me $25 dollars. I thought fine next time we're both bringing 2 suitcases 100 pounds of luggage each!!

Lynne

Southwest doesn't fly where I need to go and Continental is too expensive. I would rather fly cheap than an airline that doesn't charge for a bag. Know what I mean?

All of this talk about fudge has me craving some!
