Sunday morning

Well, technically it isn't morning anymore here in scenic Ulricehamn, Sweden. No matter. I still have to ride about on my bike and stuff advertising circulars in people's mailboxes (my part-time job) but the weather is lovely with sunshine and warm air.

Then I can spend the rest of the day sewing together the pieces of my crocheted and felted bags, then maybe sewing on some buttons or beads to the fronts of the bags. I have one that looks very nice; I stenciled a blue fleur de lis on the front and then outlined it with blue glass beads. It's especially lovely when the beads catch the sunlight!

So what's everyone else up to this fine day?

Here in Connecticut USA we are beginning to see signs of Spring - the most recent ice covered snow is almost all melted and robins are running around trying to find some green grass or even some worms.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Yankees and Mets play their Spring Training games today and hoping to finish my Project Linus Afghan/Hat so that I can mail it tomorrow.

It's now almost 8AM, time for the morning papers.... Joan in CT.

Hi Erin: Long time, no see! Just rolled out of bed myself- have had trouble getting to sleep all week and I have to be up at 2.00 am to go back to work so it's jsut as well I slept late. Still working on the jumper, just have to finish the front neck line area and the sleeves (short sleeves thankfully). It's already too warm here to wear the sweater til November-maybe thats why I'm dragging it on and on. Found a really pretty pattern for a chemo cap- has a wide lace edging all around the edges- that I'm making for my SIL (who is not doing well Im afraid-prayers welcome). Using small bamboo circs for the first time and I've had to rip that thing out and start over 5 times now (well one time was because of a young smart aleck cat that is quicker than I am). Finally got the lace band done to my satisfaction-now on to the easy part! Have another pair of socks going (perpetual thing) out of some Regia Jaquard that a friend sent me as a surprise. The heel is turned and I'm working my way down the foot..... Lace pull over top is still in a heap on a corner shelf-- almost forgot all about that one! Have a few new projects picked out and in the line up but I need to finish one or two of these current projects before I start on anything else... Marie and the cats Marie and the cats
