OT: crazy weather out there

It is so windy out there tonight I am afraid something may come down on the house or something else. The stuff on the back deck has blown all over the back yard and into the alley. The sattelite dish is half off the roof and hanging on by two srews only, I have tried to tie it (with a computer cable which is all I could find). Baby has just gone down for a very late nap, (not feeling well today - tough day for all) I came on to catch a few messages and take a moment to myself. I am really worried about this wind though. I heard on the ratio that many many lights are out and trees are down on the road. DH is still at work accoross town. I have never seen wind like this before, ever! Well, I just remembered that the recycle bins and garbage cans were left in the alley today, I better go rescue them. I hope to check back in later tonight after DH gets home. Hope all stays reasonable well. Until later . . .

I was like that at my sister's the last couple days. And then today we woke up to snow. But then, it's common to see trash cans and for sale signs sailin' down the street there any time of year, and tis the season for snow. LOL Ahh, the joys of living in the mountains. ;þ

Hehe

well, when it rolls down the street, it usually ends up toppled and half emptied, inviting not only the bears, but racoons, skunks, ravens and all kinds of other critters to stop by for a snack. LOL

We've been having lots of winds & rain this past week too. Yesterday we had a nice break in the afternoon. Got sunny & really quite warm out. I even sat on the swing on the deck for a bit, with no jacket! Today, though, it is very windy & pouring rain! Oh well, at least we don't have to shovel it!:>) (yet)

Where are you Esther?

Hey Esther I'm just a bit down the coast from you and I concur it is ABSOLUTELY insane the weather. I had a horrible time driving home yesterday as the wind was blowing my car all over the place. We never lost power, thankfully but I did expect it. It was sort of like the twilight zone, up and down I-5 was completely pitch black... no one had power over there, no street lights, nothing.

This morning I woke up to torrential (sp?) downpours at my house but right now I'm at work and it's *gasp* sunny!

I think the Mother Nature is toying with us right now. Trying to prepare us for the tough winter to come.

Yes, already. I woke up to about 7" of the stuff on my car this morning...and it snowed all day...still snowing. And a little chilly...about -5C atm.

Crazy isn't it Jenn. Oh well, it seems to be all over now. It is sunny and gorgeous out there. Very cold though. It looks as if we will have to be very bundles up for Halloween. esther

I think that I found everything. I have a really sweet older couple living next door and the man found our pool (plastic kids pool) half way down the alley and brought it back to us. He also retreived our garbadge cans and recycle bins for us too. Not only did I find our stuff though, I also found a buch of other peoples stuff all over our yard. Planters, flower pots, tools, etc. Oh well, I suppose it will work itself out.
