When it comes to the sixxix, what is a SHIM? is that the hard plastic piece that you put under the die when you are cutting?
And did you say you use 3 or them to cut with the other QC dies?

yep it is the white thingie... I call it the cutting board. And it is 3 of them to use QK in it.

As I understand it the shim is actually the paper attached to the cutting board. A shim needs to be added to the cutting board when the sizzix dies are not punching the dies all the way through. Essentially it helps add thickness so you don't have to go by another cutting board.
