HOORAY!!! IT WORKS!!! YIPPEE!!

Finally, I have TRULY found a product that works or DOES ALL that it says or is advertised to do!!!!!

As most know, I purchased last month a ZipeMate Die Cutting Machine from Accucuts. It is rather pricey with msrp of $129. I shopped all over the sites on line to include Ebay and a couple other auctions and found mine from a retailer for $95.

Anyhow I finally got all the different cutting mats and patforms you need for the machine, most of which are needed have to be purchased separately.

I tried a couple Sizzlet dies, a regular Sizziz die, a brass embossing plate, a Sizzix embossing folder and a Quikcutz die. EVERYTHING WORKED and turned out fatastic!!! There is also a couple shims of really thin material to use if your dies do not cut all the way thru, although a piece of REALLY thin cardboard would work or cardstock. I had to use a shim for the two Quickcutz dies I tried and one of the Sizzlets. As well I think they (a shim) would or should be used for embossing to make the impression a bit deeper if it is left plain, vs putting powder on it. In addition, the handle you turn like on the Sidekick, it virtually takes NO EFFORT and is real smooth.

I am so estactic that it WORKS!!! That now I am ready for the next die cut swap, or a visit of several scrappers or just to make things for others!!! YIPPEEE!!!!!

(I know, just like a man to be so giddy over a TOOL!)

nada for 05 (too excited to care - pppfffbbbttt!!)

I'm glad it works Dave. Enjoy playing with your new toy...umm tool.

That's great news Dave. If it's OK, I'd like to use your post as a product review on the website. I would really appreciate it if you could let us know how it works after using it for a while.

I also plan on picking up everyone's comments on the sidekick and adding that to the sidekick page if that's ok with everyone. If you have anything else to add to the personal diecutter story, please let us know here and email me a copy at itsmcsemail-rcsATyahooREMOVETHIS.com.

Thanks!

That sounds great Dave!! So glad it is working the way it is supposed to.

Dave....this ZipeMate sound really terrific and easy to use. Enjoy playing...erm....I meant testing!!!

M-C, Just wanted to let you know that I got a prompt response to my email from Sizzix re SideKick cutting pads breaking first time used. The US office forwarded my email to the European Division and they emailed my early yesterday with apologies, asking for address to send new pads. They arrived this morning, so I have to give them top marks for customer service. Just hope the new ones don't break on first use now.

Thanks Dave for the review. It's the first machine that has tempted me into getting into die cuts. Of course it does help that it comes in a purple color. That always swings my vote... sometimes inappropriately. Drives my husband nuts. Hubby "Why did you pick that one?" Me "It was purple." Hubby "That's not a good reason." Me "I don't care. It was puuurrrple. :D"

So now, does this mean that all your others are obsolete? I'm glad to hear that someone finally found a machine that works w/ all the dies. Now if only the alphs weren't so expensive, I could consider purchasing one. I've never cared for dies myself, but love those alphs!
