Uncle Ralph felt really bad that he treated us like immature children and was calling the Listing Agent regarding a different property that he noticed popped up in the same development.
The Listing Agent asked if we were still interested in the original property as
THE ORIGINAL DEAL FELL APART!!!!
Uncle Ralph immediately put in an offer and we are waiting to hear. He felt that is was a good and strong offer.
CROSS YOUR FINGERS.
Sarah is already packing her playdough into her luggage so she has something to play with at Aunt Tates.
Such a Whirlwind time!!! Unbelievable the way things work!! The Good Lord works in Mysterious WAYS!!! Good Luck Girl Friend!! Hope all goes nice and smooth from here to Moving in!! Does this Property have a room for your goodies/crafts? God Bless, Dorothy in NY
No there isn't a room perse but there is room in the bedroom as we will keep the computer in the living room.
We go Sunday to walk-through with my In Laws & Parents & Sister to double check stuff and to set an appointment to meet with the board.
Hopefully all will go according to plan (mine not murphy's). Larry had his first ever panic attack, I had to remind him he wasn't having a heart attack it just felt like one (his Aunt is a nurse and ruled out a heart attack even though his behavior was reminiscent of when we got engaged).
My boss asked why I wasn't more excited but I reminded her that when we actually get the keys is when I'll do the snoopy happy dance until then, I don't believe it until the paint rollers are in my hand and I can change the living room color to "Sandy Beaches" (a color of sand when it is wet).
Nope, it was a two part "murphy's law" and the apartment is no longer ours.
Larry never told me, because "I was going to take care of it," that back in 2002 the IRS had put a lien on his stocks. For obvious reasons he never took care of it. So when he went to sell his stocks he went "oops."
The other part is Uncle Ralph "misunderstood' which apartment we wanted so he put an offer on an apartment WE HAD NEVER SEEN. so we killed that offer. granted in pictures the place looked great but the board want 20% down which we don't have.
I went to bed at 9:00 p.m. without saying goodnight to Larry because I was so frustrated. I'm done. I've been busting my tooshie to save $12500 dollars and no matter what I do it isn't enough. Larry wants to go apartment shopping this weekend, I quit. I am going to spend my sunday scrapping and card making and doing laundry. He wants to go to open houses there is the door and his metrocard for the buses.
Kate what an emotional rollercoaster ride this is for you! I feel bad for you guys. House buying sounds so stressfull! It will all work out in the end, and you will have the home you always wanted. Have patience! (((hugs)))
Oh Kate! I hate to hear that things are not working out for you. I can understand the need for your own space and privacy. Don't give up!!! Hang in there, we are all rooting for you, Hugs, Sandy

Sorry to hear this Kate! I think a day of scrapping and card making would be a perfect idea. BUT do not give up hope yet. Buying is such a frusterating process but well worth it in the end. Many hugs & prayers! -Tammy
