The storms are pretty bad. Lots of rain. LOTS of wind. DH works in a hospital and they are on emergency lock down. They have no power and are on generators. They won't release any patients or employees. His family's Christmas party is tomorrow and he's worried we might not be going. If it's as stormy tomorrow as today... we won't be driving any where.

I just talked to my mom (they live north of Lake Tahoe) and she said they have had about 2 1/2 inches of rain and lots of wind. Sounds like good weather to stay home and scrap.
I needed to make rolls and I know it was iffy with this weather. If the power went out I wouldn't be able to bake them. But since they are refrigerator rolls I plowed ahead. Taught the kids how to make my special roll recipe. We had fun.
The wind has stopped. The hospital finally let people head home around 2pm. DH gets off work normally at 1:30pm. Not too bad. There's another big storm heading out way from tomorrow night. So, we should be OK for our holiday party. Crossing fingers!

I have my Great Grandma's recipe with which she won 1st place at the Oklahoma State Fair. None of her daughter's could make it. I was talking to her about my successful bread making and she said, "I should give you my roll recipe. All my daughter's know how to make is toast." I've been making rolls ever since.
