As most of you know, DH and I have had the care of our nephew for the past
14mths. I started this online group

because I wanted to find an activity group for him where he can mix with other children like himself and have fun and games for a few hours. Somewhere he feels accepted and part of the crowd and of course make and develop friendships with other children. We could find no such group available for disabled children in the "right age group", so we thought, why not just start one ourselves? So, here we are.
Another main focus is on support for each of us as Parents and Carers, and that is where you guys come in :o) In putting together a support group for parents and carers, it will give us an outlet, and we can learn new and effective strategies for dealing with every day challenges together.
Of course we welcome any suggestions as well, so if you know of any families in a similar situation would you kindly let them know about this group. I'm looking forward to getting this group off the ground and kicking!!
