OT: It's beginning to look a lot like moving

Dave you know we can't wait to have you visit! And if we get lucky, we'll manage to get Renee out of her hidee hole (I believe it is somewhere under all the paper on her workdesk, LOL) and get some other members of our wonderful RCS family here for a visit! After all if the trend continues there will be more RCS FLASS's in Little Rock than in any other city!!!

Congrats, Deb! A big relief, huh?

When I moved cross-sountry 15 years ago, I was coming w/o a job, w/o a place to live & w/o really knowing anyone. Finally decided about a week before I left that having an address to pull up to & unload the truck at w/o having to search for it first might be a good thing. So I picked up the yellow pages (this was before the internet!) I'd ordered from my new area & called the first management company in the book. Asked them for a place that took pets. Call Linda (manager of one of their buildings), they said, & gave me the number. I called & rented the place sight unseen. (Ah, to be young & foolish! LOL) I did know someone slightly who lived in the general area (& I didn't know the area at all!), so did call her afterwards & asked her about it. Coincidentally, her sister lived just a few blocks away, so she knew the area & said it was OK. Whew!

Don't think I could do it that way again. I'd need to have a place set up

*before* I move (preferably one I'd actually seen!). So, congrats, Deb!! And good luck with the move.

Congrats on the house. What a relief for you. Isn't it funny.... That when we looking for something, it's always in the last place you look. :)

Pretty smooth, except for the hassle of getting the car tow dolly on & off the rental truck's hitch, taking around 14 hours to load said rental truck & clean previous house, & unloading in the rain. LOL But it could have been worse. The rental truck could have caught on fire on the way to LR with all our stuff in it. :-) All in all, I'm just glad to be moved and getting things (somewhat) back to normal.

Those hitches can be a real pain sometimes. I'm glad everything went smoothly otherwise Deb.
