OT: more postage stamps today

Hey, Evan got some more surprises in the mail today. He received the stamps from Australia, New York & Chemnitz (I am not sure where that at - will have to look that up). He is really excited about getting them. He got some post cards & stamps. So far he got these today and also 2 more that he received early this week from Maryland & Canada. He said he can't wait to get from all over the world. Who ever send him the stamps & post cards (I really appreciates it and thank you very much!!!!!!). Have a wonderful day! Marcie

Don't make the same mistake I did as a kid, early in my stamp collecting days (still have several albums in storage, but haven't done anything with them in years -- a project for my retirement ). I can remember the school system giving us lovely first day covers of with a new education stamp that came out. Knowing nothing about first day covers, I promptly removed the stamp from the envelope so I could add it to my stamp album. Oops!

Glad Evan's enjoying stamp collecting. It's a great hobby for a kid. I learned a lot about world geography that way.

I'm glad that Evan received our Post Card from New York.

Since our city is bidding on the 2014 Olympics I'll sure remind my DH to get some freebees of Olympic stuff for him as well.
