OT: My daycare playroom

I posted a while back about the busy time we've been having at the daycare this summer. I took pictures of the papiermache octopus, the big paper stuffed whale, and the windows. They are in my webshots in the temp album. I tried not to get any of the children in the photos, but you should see them when they are swimming in the playroom. I bought several sets of goggles for them to wear when they "swim". When the sun shines through the celophane in the windows it really looks like an underwater scene in there. Today we worked on putting together two large cardboard boxes and turning them into a submarine. One of the boys asked if we could paint it yellow like the song his grandma plays. Sandy

Thanks! I completely forgot to give the site for the pictures. They're in the temp album.

We're still working on that project too. Rail is down and moved and soil is dug our for step down area. Now we need to start removing the sod. Had to stop on that project to finish the end of the parking area because that'w where the gravel is going to be dumped for us to pack down after the sod is gone. Had to get the fence and railroad ties in place so the gravel wouldn't spread into the play area. Too many different projects going on that depend on a part of another job. I'm trying to organize a weekend when all of our children, their spouses and grandchildren can come. I promised a barbecue and swimming in return for sod removal. DH is down with pancreatitis again. We got a pain patch from the dr in time and hopefully there won't be a trip to the hospital this time. I have to give him a couple of weeks to get back into gear before the work weekend.

DS gets upset sometimes because he is getting too big for things like the cardboard sub. Sandy
