OT: One big happy family

I just have to share with everyone. As you know my DH has wanted to adopt my boys, (now ages 14 & 16) for several years. (we've been married nearly 9 years) My ex finally signed the papers out of the blue around Christmas so then we had to wait for a court date. Thursday was the date. So as of Tuesday we are officially the Tetkoskie family!!!! I am so thrilled. It was kinda like giving birth again. I am so proud that this wonderful man I married wants my children to have his last name. My DMIL was with us, she was also teary eyed! It was a great day for everyone involved.

M-C and her darling hubby gave the boys each a gift. They each received a key chain and I.D. bracelet with their new names on them. Too cool!!! (Thanks M-C!!! HUGS!!!!!!)

They were very happy about it. Though if the ex hadn't signed the papers they asked to be adopted when they turned 18
