OT: SO excited!

We have been shopping for a car for a couple of months now, knowing that we needed to get one before June, when my stepdaughter is getting married. We have to travel to Millegeville Georgia, and I just wasn't comfortable with the idea of driving my car with no A/C, and DH's truck is a gas HOG! We found a car and went to look at it today. DH took the day off work and we took care of some personal business in town, and then took off to a dealership that is in Roanoke, Ill. They send a lot of business to my husbands job. Well, to make a long story short, we got a good deal, and we drove home with a new car! (traded the older one) WHOO HOO! We got a 2005 Dodge Magnum, and it is fully loaded! It looks brand spankin' new, too! It's color is "Inferno Red", and let me tell ya,its practically glows in the sun, " it hauls ass"! (quoting my DH) LOL I have always driven V-6 motors, this has a V-8 HEMI in it. OMG..I was up to 80 mph in NO time...even cruising along on the interstate I really had to watch my speed. We wanted a car with enough room in back so when I deliver wedding cakes I would have plenty of room, and we also wanted to have leg room for my ever-growing boys!! I am dreading having car payments again, but thats life! :-) It's all MINE, and I absolutely LOVE it and I can't wait to show it off at work! Linda

Sounds beautiful. I understand completely about needing a dependable vehicle and I know exactly what you "Inferno Red" looks like. My new van (July 2007) is also the same color. It does sort of glow in the sun. I let DD pick the color after I picked the van. Sandy

How exciting. It's always so fun to get a new vehicle. Have fun driving it. It will be wonderful for you to have AC! I can't do without mine. I'm so spoiled. LOL.

Sounds great and really fun Linda. It is really nice to drive a car that is dependable and that you like. Be careful though... whenever I'm in the car with my 70 year old dad and a beautiful red passes by he says, "There goes speeding ticket red." hahaha

Congrats Linda! I'm dreading the day that DH's "rolling death trap" completely dies. We've been without car payments for several years and it's been so nice. LOL
