If you need a story to help you feel a little better about what's going on........ The family that used to sponsor my DS soccer team is having a really bad time. Financially they are fine...for now. Their son (that played on the team with my DS) has given them LOTS of trouble over the past several years. They even sent him to military school for about a yr but once he got home it was trouble again. DS told DH the other night that he'd heard that this other boy had been arrested for the murder of another boy. I guess there was a meeting of 3 kids, the boy the sponsor's son was with shot the 3rd kid and then he and the sponsor's son douced the kid and his car in gas and set it on fire. DH told DS that the story hadn't been on the news and he not need be heard saying such things. Yesterday it was on the news and in the paper...word for word what DS had told DH a day or so earlier. His parents are very sweet and wonderful people. Very involved in their church and truly seem to be good parents. Their girls are wonderful kids. As you can imaginethey are having an awful time of it. They say dealing with death would be easier. They are devastated for the family of the boy that was killed. Even for as much trouble as their son has been I never would have imagined that he'd be capable of doing anything like this. There were drugs involved...but that doesn't excuse it. DS never did like the kid...he was one of those kids that thought he was too good for most people, was one of the team "hot dogs", etc. I just can't imagine the living hell that family is going through right now. Please put them in prayer. Thanks
