Let the scrapping and headaches begin.

We fell in love with it. It is so hard to find a nice and SPACIOUS place in Queens.

I'll let you know if our offer (less than what is listed) is accepted.

HI Everyone,

After going over with our credit/finance counsellor (the one we have been working with for the last year), although we have enough for the down payment we are over by 2% the 30% debt to income ratio so we are unable to go through with the paperwork.

We are going to see another location this weekend that won't put us over the income to debt ratio. Hopefully it will be just as nice. Kate

Oh Kate, I'm sorry to hear this. I do hope that you and Larry fall in love with this one that you are going to look at. If not, keep looking, something will hook your heart.

Good luck to you! This looks very warm and cozy.

Calgary is now #7 in the world for expensive homes. There was a 200 (yes

200) square foot "condo" on the news the other day. The livingroom doubles as a bedroom, the kitchen is as wide as you can stretch your arms and the bathroom is about as small....new hardwood floors and oak cabinets in the kitchen with fridge, stove and dishwasher.......all for (cough!) $175,000.00!

Kate,

When I got divorced 9 years ago I refinanced my house (to get his name off of it!). When the bank told me my debt to income ratio was too high, they added those debts onto the top of the loan to pay them off and bring my ratio down. Just a thought, maybe you could ask your bank/mortgage company about that option?

Good luck!

Cindy

helped DH and I get our 1st home in Huntington where we have been living since 1998. We've had lots of problems getting approved from BFCU where we bank as to say all we could afford basically was a house that was less than $100,000.00 which we just couldn't find anywhere we looked. So as I looked through the Pennysaver I found WELCOME HOME which sounded like a great name....also it was but now they are GREEN STREET FINANCIAL....still the same friendly/helpful people I knew that helped us years ago get us a home when the competitor's wouldn't. We got our loan from COMMUNITY HOME BUYERS, then had a mortgage through CHASE Bank which was really convenient for me since I could pay it at any branch, go thru the drive-thru, the girlz got there doggie bone shaped cookies too. It was in walking distance from my house.

We bought our home for $130,000 now it is worth about $400,000 maybe a bit more.

GreenStreet Financial was listed in 2003 as the 11th largest volume producing mortgage company on Long Island, by The Long Island Business News and has since been an award winning mortgage provider.

GreenStreet Financial Group - 990 Stewart Ave. - Garden City, NY 11530 Office Phone: (516) 740-4400 Fax: (516) 740-4411 Toll Free: (877) 883-7326

Hopefully you will get the home you really love. Good Luck.
