OT: We are moving!

Last week dh accepted a new job, so at the end of July we will be moving to the Chicago area. We have lived there before so it won't be totally new to us, but it is will be hard to leave sunny southern California. I'm not looking forward to the actual moving part. We will have movers pack everything up, but then there is all that unpacking to do. Oh well, we have done it several times before. :-)

Welcome back to the neighborhood! Way southern 'burbs here. Chicagoland area's not so bad...if you like having *four* seasons of weather. :-)

Good luck on the move! Theresa (aka Mommyrazz)

Ahhh poooh I was hoping to read "Sacramento"! Hope your move goes smoothly. I found out last move that the movers are supposed to unpack too, but they con you into thinking you need to do it yourself. Worked on me.

Woo Hoo, I think!!! I get to that part of the country, well in the past anyhow, more often than southern Cal.

Are ya'll gonna be driving there from out there? Straight thru the Texas panhandle and OK of course is the shortest route!! April lives right at the TX/OK stateline, 2 mile off the interstate nd of course you would come right thru here!!!

Wondering and HOPING!!!!!

(hugs!)

Hi Cathy! Chicago is only about 2 1/2 to 3 hours north of me! Welcome back to Illinois! :-)

That is a big move!!! I hope it all goes well! I've never lived in Chicago, but loved the city when Rick and I visited I think in 2002.

It's close to NYC but no cigar. Happy moving. May nothing get lost not even a glue stick.

Congrats on DH's new job. What is it that he does. What will you do without Disney at your back door? Hey you'll only be about 3-4 hours away from me depending on where you live.

My parents would have loved Sacramento, much closer to them. I've never had the movers unpack. I would feel weird having them do it.

Thanks Theresa. The four seasons are nice, I'm just not too fond of the humidity!

That's probably the way we will be going. Unfortunately hubby is the "drive and get there as quickly as you can" type and doesn't like to stop. Sorry.

Thanks Linda. Where exactly are you?

It is a big move, but we have done it before. You will have to come visit again.

Thanks Kate. One of hubby's comments was "it's only an hour plane ride from New York and Broadway". He is already planning a trip. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Shannon. He does advertising and fund raising for non-profit organizations. We will really miss Disneyland. We are trying to get there as much as possible before we leave.

But Cathy, tell him that Larry Jones is right off the interstate here in the city and he could stop and say "hi" to him or solicit his business :)

Anyhow I understand, as I am too that way too when on a mission to get HOME LOL!

Keep us posted and of course we are all here for you!

I shall also say that I am jealous that you will be so close to several there, Theresa, Shannon and Linda. Amy an Sandy are not all that far either!!! At least closer than anyone except Alicia out THERE!!

((HUGS!!))
